CCGHT works as a partnership organisation to help promote and protect the built, natural and cultural heritage of the rural areas we work within.

CCGHT has successfully partnered and led on a number of EU and ERDF funded projects, each bringing unique opportunities to collaborate transnationally and address issues facing our special landscapes and the communities living and working here.
Sustainable Resilient Coasts offered CCGHT the opportunity to support Rathlin Island community, NIs only offshore community, to explore mechanisms to document and therefore safeguard coastal heritage. Through drone modelling and training, the capacity to protect valuable heritage now exists within this community and acts as a case study to others. Furthermore, CCGHT listened to calls for better access to heritage and developed a digital map where the drone models and data collected via this project work could be displayed. This enables stakeholders, community and visitors to explore the coastlines natural and built heritage and where the layers of cultural history could be documented.
