Draft Westport Local Transport Plan (LTP) 2023
The draft Westport Local Transport Plan (LTP) went on public display on Tuesday, 26th September 2023 to Tuesday, 7th November 2023.
In addition to the above an open evening was held on Monday, 23rd October 2023 in Westport Town Hall Theatre. The event was hosted by WSP Consultants on behalf of Mayo County Council which provided a further opportunity for public engagement on the proposed draft Plan.
The LTP when finalised will guide future transport investment with specific focus on sustainable and active travel, making it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle around Westport town and have better access to public transport.
Submissions & Observations:
Persons / Organisations were invited to inspect the draft Plan. Guidance was provided in relation to the making of written submissions or observations on the LTP.
Submissions or observations were made either directly on consult.mayo.ie or by post to the Westport Civic Offices.
The closing date for submissions or observations was Tuesday, 7th November 2023. A number of submisssions and observations were received and are currently being reviewed.
All valid submissions or obserations will be taken into consideration when preparing the final Local Transport Plan.
