Mayo Cultural Companions Meeting Announced for 2024

Mayo County Council Arts Service is delighted to announce the first Cultural Companions meeting for 2024.

Mayo Cultural Companions aims is to provide increased opportunities for people to engage with Mayo’s vibrant arts and cultural scene.

We would now like to invite members to the first meeting on Tuesday, February 20th in Castlebar Social Services Centre. The meeting will take place from 11 am to 1pm. Teas and coffees will be provided.

At the meeting, we will look at events happening across the county together, and select the events members feel are most suitable for the first Cultural Companion outings.

New members are also welcome to attend on the morning.  If you are over the age of 50 and interested in finding out more, please join us on Tuesday, February 20th at the Social Services Centre Castlebar from 11 am to 1pm.

Cultural Companions is an Age & Opportunity Arts Initiative comprising a network of people over the age of 50 who are interested in arts and culture who can attend events together as a group.  Age & Opportunity works with local authorities and communities to support the development of Cultural Companions initiatives.

Cultural Companions is an Age & Opportunity Arts Initiative, supported by Mayo County Council Arts Service and Mayo Age Friendly and funded by Healthy Mayo.  The Healthy Ireland Fund is supported by the Department of Health
