The Lower Achill Community Hall is a much loved community amenity, located in the heart of Keel village, it is the ideal location for holding sports clubs, community classes held by mayo sports partnership, small events, classes, exhibitions, markets, recitals etc As part of the Governments; National Broadband Ireland, we are now connected as a Broadband Connection Point and will be able to offer high speed internet to remote workers/learners in our community. We would like to extend our hall to be a community sports hub for young and old to cater for all our community needs to enhance our hall to become a community sports hub.
Community Sports Hubs are a collection of progressive sports clubs and other local organisations that want to work together to improve the local opportunities to engage in sport & physical activity. The Hubs provide information, support and advice on a wide range of sports and physical activities to make it easier for people in disadvantaged areas to engage in a more active lifestyle. Community Sports Hubs aim to increase the number of people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities participating in sport and physical activity within their communities
The objective is to bring communities and groups interested in promoting sports participation together to plan, co- ordinate and deliver increased sport and physical activity opportunities.
