Go All Out Week 2022

July 08 @ 10:26 am

Go All Out: Ireland’s First Ever Outdoors Week for People with Disabilities

Cara’s Inaugural Go All Out Week is set to inspire people with disabilities and professionals working in the outdoor sector to understand the value and to see the opportunities that are available to them in their local communities.

The week is also an opportunity for people with disabilities to understand the value of participation in the outdoors and how they can access the activities and amenities locally.

Go All Out week has been developed by Cara Sport Inclusion Ireland supported by Sport Ireland Outdoors to increase awareness among people with disabilities, their families/carers and outdoor activity providers on the benefits of regular exercise, a healthy lifestyle, and opportunities to participate in physical activity, of people’s own choosing in the outdoors.

Through our partners in both Castlebar and Ballina Outdoor Hubs, Achill Outdoor Adventure Centre and Blackfield Watersports Mayo Sports Partnership has been able to include a number of accessible activities during this inaugural outdoor week. Following on from the hugely successful Sports Ability Week in June our Sports Inclusion Officer Ray Mc Namara has been hugely busy in building sustainable participation opportunities for people with a disability” commented Mayo Sports Partnership Head Charlie Lambert.

Mayo Sports Partnership have put together some inclusive activities for you to try during this week. Keep checking our Web Page and Social Media platforms for updates
