The Sound of Brass – Concert Band and Big Band
Come and enjoy a night of brass, woodwind, rhythm and percussion! From swing to marches, and instrumentals to vocals. Castlebar Concert Band Castlebar Concert band is a community band which enjoys a variety of music and styles. They participate in many parades and outdoor events, but a highlight of the year is their annual summer concert. They will play a selection of Pop, Movies & Musicals, Marches and Irish Airs. Castlebar Concert band is lead by Debbie Clarke. Music West Big Band Formed in September 2023, this new big band based in Castlebar will play a selection of favourites, from Glen Miller to the Gershwin brothers, and a little bit of Michael Buble on the way! Consisting of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and a rhythm section, along with male and female vocals, you’ll be swinging back to the 40’s! The band leader is Martin Jones.
