Register Of Electors – Referendums, 2024

If you are not registered to vote, you can still apply to be included in the Register of Electors Balancing List (Supplement) for the forthcoming Referendums to be held on 8th March, 2024. 

Closing Date: Tuesday, 20th February, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

To be eligible to vote in a Referendum:

  1. You must be 18 years of age on or before 8th March 2024;
  2. You must be living full time at the address at which you wish to be registered;
  3. You must have Irish citizenship.

How to apply:

Postal & Special Voters

If for illness or disability or due to work/service or study reasons you are prevented from attending a polling station on polling day or you wish to apply to be an anonymous elector, you may be entitled to vote by post.

If you live in a nursing home, hospital or similar institution, and due to illness or disability you cannot go to your polling station to vote, you may apply to be added to the Special Voters Balancing List.

Closing Date:   Monday, 12th February, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
