Carbon Monoxide Alarms for the Elderly and Vulnerable


This programme is run by Muintir na Tíre. Muintir na Tíre has been allocated funding by the Department of Rural and Community Development to install Carbon Monoxide alarms in the homes of elderly and vulnerable persons.

On the 13th of May 2019 at an event in Westport Fire Station, Minister Ring announced an initiative to support the installation of carbon monoxide alarms in the homes of elderly, isolated and vulnerable people throughout rural Ireland.

Michael Ring TD, the Minister for Rural and Community Development, launched the initiative through Muintir na Tíre which will make people safer in their homes.
