Ice House

Located on the banks of the River Moy with sweeping views of the Beleek Woods beyond, dining at the Ice House is a truly unique experience.
Originally called the ‘Iceland Cottage’ the Ice House is steeped in history. Strategically positioned on the Moy Estuary, in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century tons of wild salmon were preserved there under ice before being shipped to the markets of Dublin and Liverpool. Today it combines this history with modern styling and stunning architectural design to create a dining destination full of character, luxury and charm in the heart of North Mayo.

With unparalleled views of the River Moy and Beleek Woods, the design of the hotel takes full advantage of its stunning setting with floor to ceiling glass in the restaurant and guests can sample the delights of the Wild Atlantic Way with seasonal menus created by head chef Anthony Holland which champion locally caught seafood and seasonal produce, foraged wild herbs and quality Irish meats. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Sunday lunch, afternoon tea and an Early Bird menu are also available.
