Mayo.ie Western People Women's Mini Marathon 2024

With just under three weeks to go to the Mayo.ie Western People West of Ireland Women’s Mini-Marathon
in Ballina on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 5, excitement is starting to build.
The action kicks off at noon at Market Square, and super sprinters, slow strollers, and everyone in between are all welcome to take part in the largest women’s sporting event in the West of Ireland whose aim is participation and fun.
Organised by Mayo Sports Partnership in conjunction with Mayo.ie and the Western People, the West of Ireland Women’s Mini-Marathon celebrates 15 years in 2024.
To celebrate, the event has teamed up with Intersport Elverys to offer 15 people who register before April 23 at 4pm the chance to win one of 15 Elverys gift cards worth €50!

Those wishing to participate are also reminded as the event draws closer that only the first 1,900 participants in the 10km event will receive a t-shirt, and stocks are starting to run low.
Participants who wish to receive their t-shirts in the post should also be sure to register before April 23. Orders placed after that date will be available for collection in Ballina on the weekend of the event.
Alongside the Women’s Mini Marathon, secondary school girls aged 12-17 have an opportunity to participate for just €10, as part of the It’s for Girls participative event. The ever-popular Mini Mini 2km Run for Fun, supported by Healthy Mayo, has also opened for registrations, and parents are advised to contact their children’s schools to register. Entry to the Mini-Mini is free and parents, guardians and teachers are welcome to join the fun.
This year’s Mayo.ie Western People Women’s Mini Marathon is supported locally by Moy Valley Resources IRD, Ballina Athletic Club and Moy Valley Athletic Club.
