Breaffy Rounders Club


Main Clubhouse - use of pitch for matches/training - this is used mainly for juvenile training. Address: Breaghwy, Breaffy, Co. GAA Rounders is one of the four official GAA sports included in the original GAA charter back in 1884 along with Gaelic Football, Hurling and Handball Rounders is a bat and ball game and is not that dis-similar to baseball. Indeed it is now generally accepted that Baseball is derived from Rounders in some form or other, as it has been played on this island for a couple of hundred years now and was probably brought over to America by the early settlers.

AIMS AND ETHOS The Aims and Ethos of Comhairle Cluiche Corr Na h Eireann Cumann Luthchleas Gael (GAA Rounders) shall , save where otherwise provided for in this Constitution, be as set out in Chapter 1 of the Official Guide. GENERAL 1. GAA Rounders shall, subject to the overall control of the G.A.A. Central Council, be responsible for the preservation and promotion of the national game of Rounders.. 2. The affairs of GAA Rounders shall, in accordance with Rule 3.56 Official Guide 2016, be subject to the General Rules of the Cumann Luthchleas Gael contained in the Official Guide (Parts 1 and 2), where applicable and as are amended from time to time together with such Directives, Policies and Guidelines issued by Central Council. 3. GAA Rounders is a democratic organisation comprised of the following affiliated units: (A) Clubs (B) Ard Comhairle (C) National Annual General Meeting 4. All members and units of GAA Rounders taking part in the activities shall be subject to the jurisdiction of GAA Rounders in all matters that may arise.
