National Fire Safety Week

National Fire Safety week takes place from Monday the 17th to Sunday 23rd October 2022.

Mayo County Fire Service are delighted to say that this year we have organised four open days and we have organised them at the weekends so that as many people as possible can attend.

On Saturday 15th of October in Castlebar Fire Station between 2pm and 4pm.

On Sunday 16th of October in Ballina Fire Station between 2pm and 4pm.

On Saturday 22nd of October in Kiltimagh Fire Station between 2pm and 4pm.

On Sunday 23rd of October in Claremorris Fire Station between 2pm and 4pm.

Bring along the whole family and chat to your local fire crews about what’s involved in being an on-call firefighter and about fire safety in the home.

Activities include:

  • Fire extinguisher demonstration
  • Chip pan fire demonstration unit
  • New community fire safety vehicle on display
