Have Your Say On The Development Of Mayo’s First Climate Action Plan

Mayo County Council would like to hear from the public to help create the first ever Climate Action Plan for the county.

This public engagement process will inform how Mayo transitions to a low carbon, climate resilient and biodiversity rich county. 

The Mayo County Council Climate Action Team will be in the following Mayo libraries on Tuesday 26th & Wednesday 27th of July to meet with the public to discuss how Climate change is impacting our communities and how to reduce Mayo’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Have your say in: Ballina Library: Tuesday 25th July, 11am -1pm; Swinford Library: Tuesday 25th July, 5pm - 7pm; Castlebar Library: Wednesday 26th July, 11am-1pm and Westport Library: Wednesday 26th July, 5pm-7pm.  

Members of the public can also make submissions at the link below or on www.mayo.ie/environment/climate-action-plan before August 20th.

Hard copies of the Climate Action Plan survey will be available in all libraries and there will be specific stakeholder engagement sessions with sectors such as agriculture, enterprise, and other public bodies.
