Upcoming Community Climate Action Fund Information Sessions

Mayo County Council has been allocated a total of €609,000 for community /not-for-profit groups within the county, who are interested in developing projects and initiatives which relate to the challenge of addressing climate change.

100% funding is available for groups to carry out capital projects to make their community less carbon intensive and more sustainable for the future.

To prepare community groups to apply Mayo County Council will host a number of information sessions on the fund in the coming weeks.

The sessions will be held in person in both Ballina on Monday, January 29th and in Castlebar on Tuesday, January 30th and online on Wednesday, February 7th.

At the sessions attendees can learn about the various projects supported by the fund under the five themes: Community Energy, Travel, Food and Waste, Shopping and Recycling & Local Climate and Environmental Action.

Information Session Details: Ballina, Monday, 29th January at 7pm in the Ballina Civic Office Arts Space.  Castlebar, Tuesday, 30th January at 7pm in Lannagh Suite, Lough Lannagh Leisure Centre. Online on Wednesday, 7th February at 10am, Registration: email climateaction@mayococo.ie.
