Project Description:
The N60 Pollavaddy to Balla Active Travel facility proposes a standalone cycleway / walkway along or close to the N60 between the proposed N60 Heathlawn Active Travel facility (Pollavaddy Junction) and Balla Town. The cross-section will comprise a hard surface approximately 2.5m wide.
Current Project Phase
The project is currently at Phase 2 (Options Selection) of the TII Project Management Guidelines.
Route Option Public Consulation
Following on from the Route Options consultation which took place during 2023, we have developed a preferred route and invite residents of the local area, members of the public and other interested parties to view the preferred route and provide feedback at a Public Consultation event which will take place on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 in Balla Community Resource Centre, The Square, Balla from 2pm to 7.30pm.
The consultation can also be viewed, and submissions made, on Mayo County Council's Consultation Portal (https://consult.mayo.ie/) between Tuesday 23rd April and Tuesday 7th May 2024.
