Project Description

The N26 Ballina-Foxford Road is a National Primary Route, with an average of over 9,000 vehicles using the road each day. Stage 1 of the scheme to upgrade this single carriageway route includes the stretch of road from Ballina through Carrowntreila to Tonybaun.

This new stretch of road facilitates development in the Moy Valley area and provides a safer road for motorists, as well as benefiting the communities living along the route.

This project was funded by the Irish Government under the National Development Plan and Transport 21 and by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
