Con’s journey sees him pass through beautiful locations on Mayo’s west coast. Starting in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Clare island, Con swaps his swimsuit for his bike at the glorious Keem Bay. After emerging from the water he continues to the Doolough Valley outside Louisburgh. His training is completed with a run along the Mulranny marshes and a climb up Ireland’s holy mountain, Croagh Patrick. Discover more about the locations here.

THE MUSIC

Conor Walsh’s spine tingling track ‘The Front’ accompanies the film and like much of his music, it is inspired by the wildness of County Mayo. Conor sadly passed away in 2016 but his legacy lives on in the music he composed. His minimalist piano style sets him apart from his contemporaries as one of the finest artists of his generation. A fitting tribute to a humble musician, the film is dedicated to his memory. Discover more of Conor’s music catalogue here.
