Storm Brendan Road Updates

Posted in Connect on January 13, 2020.

Mayo County Council have been working to clear blocked roads throughout the day. Some of the progress is recorded below. Works are ongoing and our crews will remain in action throughout the day.

The Status Orange wind warning for Donegal, Mayo, Leitrim, Galway and Sligo has been reissued until midnight tonight.

As Storm Brendan tracks away from Ireland, southwesterly winds will continue to reach mean speeds of 65 to 80 km/h with gusts of 100 to 130 km/h, higher in exposed areas.

There is a significant risk of coastal flooding due to the combination of high spring tides and storm surge.
