This festival takes place in Westport from 14th-16th November

The Rolling Sun Book Festival is a boutique festival that indulges bookworms and connoisseurs of music, song and poetry.

Thursday 13th Nov 2014

 Book launch – Reservoir by Alice Maher

 Launch by: Dr Hilary Pyle, Art Historian

 Venue: Custom House Studio Time: 6.30pm  Cost: Free

Friday 14th Nov 2014

 ‘Homeplace’

 Gala festival opening event at Westport House

 Featuring: Anne Chambers and Luka Bloom

 Formal opening by Granuaile’s biographer Anne Chambers.

 Musical extravaganza with internationally recognised singer Luka Bloom.

Time: 7.30pm Cost: €25 including glass of wine and canapés

Saturday 15th Nov 2014

 Ex Libris Art Exhibition by West Ink artists

 Exhibition opening by Ger Reidy

 Time: 2.10pm

 Venue: Clew Bay Hotel Cost: Free

‘Between the Lines’

 On the Couch with Hilary Fannin, Michèle Forbes and Rachael English

 Time: 3.15pm

 An eclectic evening of lively discussion with three diverse and fascinating writers and commentators, brimful of opinions and ideas.

 Featuring: Mary O’Rourke, Eamon Ryan and Anne Chambers in conversation with Eamon Smith.

Sunday Miscellany Live Programme Recording

 A live recording of the much loved Sunday morning RTE Radio 1 programme featuring a delightful combination of new writing in the form of radio essays, and thoughtfully  co-ordinated live music. There is no better way to start a Sunday.
