Notice of Temporary Road Closure - Islandeady

Temporary Closure of Roads in Accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993. Part 8 of the Roads Regulations 1994
Notice is hereby given, that it is the Intention of Mayo County Council to close the road contained within the Schedule below, between the dates shown in order to carry out the construction of the new Islandeady Road culvert, approach roads to the new Islandeady Road overbridge, the link road to Islandeady Cemetery Road, and associated earthworks and drainage, as part of the N5 Westport to Turlough Road Project.

Access to Islandeady from Westport will be via the L-1810 Fahybeg Road and either the L-1805 Lodge Road or the L- 4849 Derradda Road. Access from Castlebar into Islandeady will be via the R-311 Newport Road and Fahybeg Road Local access to properties within the closure area will be provided. |
Maps will be on display in Castlebar and Westport Municipal District Offices, in Islandeady Community Centre, and are available in the attachments below until 5pm on 31st March 2021.
Submissions or observations with regard to the proposed temporary road closure may be made in writing to Mr. Iarla Moran, Head of Castlebar Municipal District, Aras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo no later than 4:00pm on the 7th April 2021.
