New Velocity Patcher added to the Fleet at Mayo County Council

Date: 17-02-2022

The Machinery Yard at Mayo County Council is happy to welcome the 4th addition to our Velocity Patcher Fleet. Velocity Patchers are primarily used for pothole filling and maintaining our County’s road network.

At this time of year they will also be used to prepare our road network for the busy Surface Dressing season (which we use as a preventative treatment to protect and prolong the life of the road). This also provides a new surface for improved braking therefore increasing road safety. The surface dressing season commences in May and will be carried out by the Machinery Yard bitumen spraying teams.
