Congratualtions to the Cadden family, originally from Westport whose success in the restaurant business was recognised at two different awards ceremonies.
Paul and Alan Cadden, who run SabaRestaurant, an authentic Thai and Vietnamese restaurant, on Claredon Street in Dublin as well as the takeaway service ‘Saba to Go’, in Rathmines, were awarded the Just Eat ‘Healthiest Takeaway in Ireland’ Award for their takeout business ‘Saba to Go’. The Just Eat National Takeaway awards were held in Dublin on October 20th.
They werent the only awards recipients however as Castlebar’s Bar One, operated by Mark Cadden, won the Best Gastro Pub in Connaught Award at the Yes Chef Awards, which took place in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on October 20th. The brothers are sons of Michael and Mary Cadden who established the Asgard Bar and Restaurant in Westport, in 1978, another establishment which is no stranger to awards.
Brian Murphy, of The Talbot Hotel, Belmullet, was the recipient of not one but two awards at the Yes Chef Awards ceremony, being recognised not just as ‘Best Young Chef, Connacht’ but also receiving the award for ‘Best Young Chef, Ireland’. The Yes Chef Awards honours the work of Ireland’s hard-working chefs, both young and old
