There are activities for all ages which highlight some of our greatest outdoor amenities here in Co. Mayo.

Mayo Sports Partnership Chairman Cllr Michael Loftus commented on the significant development of inclusion in sport in recent times “ We are delighted to drive the message of inclusion in sport by all. With the superb work done by our Sports Inclusion Officer Ray Mc Namara along with sports volunteers in clubs there is a much more positive environment to inclusion across the county

Mayo Sports Partnership head Charlie Lambert added “ The week will focus on peoples ability not disability hence the title sports ability week. I would ask all clubs to consider adopting an inclusion policy and perhaps sign up to the CARA Sports Inclusion Disability Charter www.caracentre.ie/sport-inclusion-disability-charter  “

In urging people of all abilities to take up the many events on offer Sports Inclusion Disability Officer Ray Mc Namara said “ We have never had such a wide menu of sport available to all in the county. It is great to see local clubs becoming more inclusive and providing opportunities for all members of the community to participate at their local clubs. We are continually promoting the message and with the aid of Dormant Account funding we hope to provide additional activities into the future”.
