Men’s/Women’s Shed Funding 2019
Posted in Connect on August 22, 2019.
In May of this year Minister Michael Ring TD, the Minister for Rural and Community Development, announced the provision of €500,000 to continue to support the work of Men’s Sheds groups throughout Ireland. This capital funding will enable individual Men’s Sheds to purchase equipment or to carry out minor works to improve their premises through the provision of small grants (excluding operating costs).
Mayo County Council have been allocated €20,942 under this funding scheme for 2019. It envisaged that this funding would, in general, be allocated in a relatively equal manner across Sheds that submit valid applications.
Please see attached the Application Form for the Men’s/Women’s Shed funding, under the 2019 Community Enhancement Programme.
Application Form – 2019 Men’s & Women’s Sheds Application

- There must be an appropriate organisational structure to the Shed
- The number of members of the group will be considered, along with the level of activity
