The inaugural Meet Mayo event which took place in the Breaffy House Sports Arena recently will feature on Irish TV – Sky 191, Freesat 400, Eircom eVision 191 and online on www.irishtv.ie this Tuesday, October 28 at 7.30pm. The event which was organised by the Mayo Local Enterprise Office was modelled on the successful Meet West event in which business from across the county come together to network with each other.

The special programme features insightful and engaging interviews from a host of businesses including PÉL, Marrey Bikes, Footy Tours and GMIT. Speaking about the programme, Joanne Grehan ‎Head of Enterprise at Mayo Local Enterprise Office said “This is the first time this event has taken place in Mayo. The power of networking cannot be under-estimated and this event will give business in the County an opportunity to create awareness of their service or product to other Mayo Business. With positive feedback we hope to have this event running every year.”

Apart from Meet Mayo, the Irish TV programme also features highlights from the Suicidology conference in Hotel Westport which took place recently to coincide with World Mental Health Day. The conference was an important networking opportunity for all those concerned about suicide, bereaved through suicide and persons touched by suicide in any way. An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny was a special guest at the event. The programme also features highlights from the Currane Challenge duathlon in aid of the Community Action on Dementia plus there is wonderful music from the Accoustic Yard in Matt Molloys pub.

The Mayo County Matters programme can be viewed on Sky TV channel 191, Freesat 400 and online at www.irishtv.ie this coming Tuesday, October 28 at 7.30pm.
