Mayo’s food producers showcase the very best of local fare at The National Crafts & Design Fair

Mayo’s food producers did themselves and the county proud once again at this year’s National Crafts & Design Fair, held in the RDS Dublin from the 2nd – 6th December.

The annual event, running for many years, hosts visitor numbers of up to 30,000 over the 5 days. It is a unique opportunity to showcase the very best of local produce to a worldwide audience.

The ‘Mayo Quarter’ at the event is a special initiative which consists of a number of Mayo food producers showcasing and selling delicious high-end food, all made in Mayo. Some of the produce makes its way to The White House, Windsor Castle, Dublin Castle and Áras an Uachtaráin!

Not only were visitors to the show spoilt for choice of Mayo food products but were also able to ‘Meet the Maker’ at the individual stands.

Participating food producers included Kelly’s of Newport, Cabots of Westport, Westport Grove, Harvest Moon, Wildwood Vinegars, The Breadski Brothers, MMM Family Bakery and Cuinneog.

The Mayo Quarter is coordinated and supported by the Enterprise & Investment Unit and Mayo Local Enterprise Office at Mayo County Council.
