FOUR Mayo men, Stephen Rattigan, Brian Cawley, Nicky Kearney and Sean Conway, took part in a Guinness world records attempt for the longest group hug back in October 2017 and raised €4,400 for the Irish Cancer Society. Guinness officially recognised their world record.
The group hug World Record which the team broke in 2017 was broken in Japan in August 2018. The guys see this as a great opportunity to raise money again for two very worthy charities. So they are going attempt to break the record again in a 30 hour marathon record breaking attempt in Castlebar on Saturday/Sunday, May 4th – 5th. 2019.
