Having been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Small Festival of The Year’ award by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) in 2019, the Claremorris Folk Festival will return on the 17th, 18th & 19th July 2020.
Highlights at this year’s event will include Hothouse Flowers, Lisa O’Neill, MOXIE and local artist Lisa Canny who will perform on the main stage in the Town Hall Theatre with her full 6 piece band.
Lisa won’t be the sole Mayo representative taking to the stage as Westport’s Maria Kelly, Billow Wood from Ballina, U.M.A.N from Ballyhaunis and Tracy Gallagher and Alan Jordan from Claremorris will all be performing.
Fans of the legendary Saw Doctors will be delighted to hear that Leo Moran and Padraig Stevens will also be performing over the weekend.
All the stages will be indoors providing the festival attendees with a unique opportunity to enjoy some of Ireland’s best musicians in intimate, weatherproof surroundings.
This promises to be a great event for the whole family with lots of children’s activities in the vicinity of the towns Market Square throughout the weekend.
Weekend and day tickets are now on sale via the festival website.
Support for the 2020 festival is being provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and the Arts Council.
