30 jobs Announced for Carraig Donn in Westport

Irish owned retail chain and knitwear manufacturer, Carraig Donn, has announced the creation of 30 jobs at its knitwear manufacturing plant in Westport. This announcement  of the 30 jobs in  Westport will bring Carraig Donn’s  total workforce up to 450 people. The new jobs have been supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland.

The company is looking for Machinists, Warehousing staff, Knitters and Management the recruitment process is already underway at the company.

Carraig Donn was founded by Padraig and Máire Hughes in 1965, and has an annual turnover of close to €40million. It is the largest knitwear manufacturing plant in Ireland. The company manufactures and designs Irish made knitwear using 100 per cent natural yarns and its products are distributed worldwide.
