Mayo County Council Community Heritage Grant Scheme

Mayo County Council, in association with the County Mayo Heritage Forum, is inviting applications to the Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2024. The grant scheme is an action of the County Mayo Heritage and Biodiversity Strategy and the aim of the scheme is to support community groups and organisations to undertake projects that will gather information, help to appropriately manage and promote an awareness and appreciation of our heritage and biodiversity.
Mayo County Council encourages projects which relate to all aspects of our heritage including monuments, archaeological objects, heritage objects, architectural heritage, flora, fauna, wildlife habitats, landscapes, genealogy, local history, geology, as well as heritage gardens and parks. Projects relating to local history and traditions, placenames, folklore, traditional crafts and skills and museums and archives will also be considered under the scheme.
