Records of Protected Structures
Protected Structures are buildings, features and structures within County Mayo that are protected due to their categories of special interest as set out in Section 51 (1) of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended) and Section 2.5.4 of the Architectural Heritage Protection Guidelines. Categories of special interest are defined as archaeological, architectural, artistic, cultural, scientific, social and technical.
