Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail
The Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail, a National Waymarked Way, extends from the town of Knock, 20km south of Knock International Airport, in east Mayo, to the village of Murrisk at the base of Mayo’s holy mountain, Croagh Patrick. The trail is 85km in length and mainly at low level, but the walker should note that the trail does reach a high point of 315 metres around the foothills of Croagh Patrick. There is an alternative coastal road route from Prospect to Murrisk.
The trail itself does not nclude the ascent to the summit of Croagh Patrick.
