Register to Vote


I’m not on the register. Can I get added? 

The Register of Electors for 2022/2023 is now published.  If you're not registered to vote, you may apply for entry in the Supplement to the Register of Electors, 2022/2023.  It must be signed by a member of An Garda Síochána at your local Garda Station and returned to the Franchise Section, Mayo County Council, Áras an Chontae, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.  F23 WF90.  Please find the link to the RFA2 Form hereunder:-

While you can apply to be included in the Supplement at any time, only applications received before the 14th day before an election or referendum polling day (excluding Sundays, Public Holidays and Good Friday) will be considered for entry onto the Supplement for that poll. Late applications will not be processed until after polling day.  

Conditions for Registration as a Supplementary Elector

Age:  A person must be 18 years of age on or before polling day.

Residence:  A person must be ordinarily resident at the address at which you wish to be registered.  You must not be already registered as an elector except in the case of change of address (see Change of Address page)
