Live at the Octagon: Live Outdoor Music
Live music returns to Westport Town Hall Theatre as the venue presents a series of free live outdoor music gigs. Ciaran O’Malley and Band Saturday 18th at 4pm.
Ciaran O’Malley and his band will take to our outdoor stage with a multi-layered style of rock and popular music with and extensive repertoire to suit all tastes. Octagon Trad Sunday 19th at 4pm Wll-known local trad musicians such as Dan Delaney, Johnny Fadian, Laoise Ní Chionnaith, Tony Reidy & John Scahill will transform the Octagon with flute, fiddle, guitar, whistle and double base for some lively tunes from their famous Octagon Sunday sessions! Clew Bay Critters Saturday 25th at 4pm
The Critters are a 4-piece string band headed up by Tim Rogers that play a brilliantly curated mix of Old Time songs, wild fiddle tunes, acoustic swing and bluegrass standards.
Seoda Sunday 26th at 4pm The closing gig is with local band Seoda, a modern traditional group that play a range of Irish, Jazz and modern music. Band members include Brian Duffy, Mick Kelly, Sheona Ní Mháile, Sarah Ní Mháile and Clare Saunders.
