The importance of being active and positive mental health has never been as important as now stressed Mayo Sports Partnership head Charlie Lambert

Men like to do things with their peers and Men on the Move allows men to exercise with guys of their own age and ability levels. Of course a bit of banter and craic is also allowed even with COVID19 protocols in place

Men on the Move is a beginner physical activity programme that is aimed at adult men to get them active, have fun and improve their fitness levels. It involves:

  • weekly physical activity sessions over 8 weeks that are led by a qualified instructor to meet your needs.
  •  structured physical activity sessions so that you can find a level and pace that suits you.

A national award winning programme in both the Local Authority and Chambers Ireland best health and wellbeing initiative “Men on the Move” was originally piloted in Mayo during 2012 and is now a nationally recognised men’s health programme.

Please note that due to COVID19 restrictions all groups are limited to 15 participants, to book your place phone the contact number for your area in advance (see poster). Unfortunately, if you show up without booking a place may not be guaranteed.  Please check your local newspaper, listen to Mid West Radio, log on to our website at https://www.mayo.ie/sports-partnership  for further details.
