Mayo Changemakers Event
MAYO CHANGEMAKERS - MAYO'S GLOBAL CLIMATE COMMUNITY
An event to highlight and bring together Mayo people around the world working to protect our planet.
Hosted by The Mary Robinson Centre and Mayo County Council's Climate Action Office, this is a hybrid event, taking place in Ballina Arts Centre and online.
Mayo is a county with a long-standing diaspora connection, and there are over 3.5 million people worldwide who claim Mayo heritage. Mayo Changemakers is an event that will showcase Mayo people in leadership in local and global communities, and those who are trailblazers in research and innovation, developing solutions for the climate and biodiversity crisis. It aims to highlight their work and to be a key first step in creating a network of Mayo Changemakers that can harness the potential of Mayo's global diaspora to connect and collaborate.
The event is open to those engaged in climate and biodiversity and those interested in learning more. We are also inviting Mayo people from around the world to send in a 2 minute video of their work (community and/or professional) in protecting the planet. For more information on the video submission and to see the full programme for the day please visit The Mary Robinson Centre Website.
