Aglish


The survey of Aglish Parish was completed in 1945, surveyor Donal Faughnan. Aglish parish includes Castlebar town and the areas of Breaghwy (Breaffy) and Ballyheane. There is much material of historical interest in the Aglish survey, including the rebellion of 1798 and the races of Castlebar, general history of Castlebar and accounts of well-known local personalities.
