Artist Commission: Navigating a Future

Mayo County Council’s Arts Service are commissioning professional practicing artists living in Mayo to create artwork in response to the ongoing impact of Covid-19 and our lives going forward. This is an opportunity for artists to create artwork that will be presented in 2021.  Deadline was the 30th September at 5pm. Artists working in all artforms are welcome to apply. Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park

The Office of Public Works (OPW), National Park & Wildlife Services and Mayo County Council’s Arts Service are delighted to announce that the visual artist Susan Mannion has been selected for the public art commission at the Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park.

Susan will present a unique exhibition of her art practice at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre at Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park for the month of October 2020. The artist and National Park staff invite the wider community, young and old, to visit the exhibition and to share your experiences of living near or visiting the National Park and what the Park means to the community.
