Mayo Dietitian Diana Walsh honoured at CN Awards Ceremony

Diana Walsh, senior community dietitian, Mayo Early Intervention Service, HSE West has won the Geoff Simmonett ‘Commitment to Patient Care’Award at the 2015 CN Awards.

Diana has truly excelled in her role in leading the development of dietetic services for children with disabilities here in the West of Ireland. Her extensive knowledge in the area of sensory feeding difficulties has proven invaluable in raising awareness for the need for a specialist feeding service for the assessment and treatment of children with sensory processing problems, and the complex needs of people with sensory and behavioural feeding difficulties has been the focus of her work.

The CN awards comprise of 10 categories recognising the acheivments of individuals, groups or organisations who have made a significant contribution to the nutrition industry
