Beach Lifeguard Course

Mayo County Council are inviting applications from those interested in obtaining or renewing an Irish Water Safety qualification in Beach Lifeguarding.
Once this course is successfully completed, participants will be eligible to apply to Local Authorities or other organisations for a position as a Beach Lifeguard.
Applicants must hold an Irish Water Safety Rescue 2 Certificate or equivalent, as recognized by the International Lifesaving Federation (ILS).
The course will be held in the new swimming pool in Castlebar and at Old Head, Louisburgh, Co. Mayo on the following dates:
Complete Course – Saturday, April 13 to Friday, April 19
Renewal Only – Thursday, April 18 & Friday, April 19.
The full course fee is €350 and renewal fee is €150.
