Geesala

Geesala, literally meaning “salty sea inlet”, is a small and picturesque village near Belmullet in North Mayo. Each year in mid-August the village hosts a week long festival boasting Horse and Greyhound Racing on the beachfront, Show Jumping, Angling, Children’s Events, and a Traditional Day. The Geesala festival offers something for every generation making it a firm favourite for family fun.
