Bonniconlon

Located just 6 miles from Ballina, Bonniconlon is a small, idyllic village known for its rugged beauty. Nestled in the shadows of the Ox Mountains, the area offers excellent hill walking and captivating scenery. It also boasts superb fishing with Loughs Talt, Brolly, Kerribly, Cartoon and Carrow lying nearby. Bonniconlon also has many sites of archaeological interest such as the Bronze Age Farmstead located in Glenree that has lain undisturbed under the bog for the past 4,000 years.

Bonniconlon hosts an Annual Agricultural show each August Bank Holiday Monday. A firm favourite with adults and children alike, it offers classes for farm and garden produce, cookery, bloodstock, livestock, arts and crafts. For more information on the Bonniconlon Agricultural Show contact: Ms. Bridie Judge on 096 45187
