Ballina

Ballina is Mayo’s largest town with a population of approximately 8,000 which acts as a gateway to North Mayo and West Sligo. The town is built along the River Moy, one of the best salmon fishing rivers in Europe.


Ballina has many wonderful attractions such as the ruins of the Moyne Abbey, the Rossery Friary and St. Murdeach’s Cathedral which stands on the banks of the River Moy.
