Kilkelly Country Market is back again for 2012. The first market of this year will be on 10th March 2012 from in The Square, Kilkelly. To book a stall or to enquire please contact on 087 7605173.
A limited amount of copies of the 5th edition of Kilkelly/Kilmovee magazine “Its People & It’s Places “ are available for sale in Kilkelly & Kilmovee.
Social Dancing Classes are now being held at the new time of 11am-12pm on Tuesdays in Kilkelly Community Centre. All welcome. Waltz; Jive; Line dancing etc.
“Duffy’s” Bar, Kilkelly, is now open every Saturday morning for tea/coffee; homemade bread & cakes. Pop in while doing your shopping or meet friends for a chat and a ‘cuppa’.
Shazzymac’s, the Square, Kilkelly, have Traditional Irish Music every Wednesday night and all pints 3 euro. Forget the Recession and join in the craic!
The AGM of Kilkelly & District Development Co. Ltd. will take place on 12th March 2012 at 8.30pm in the Community Centre. Any Community Group wishing to present a report on their activities during the past year, please send to Carmel Kelly (Sec.) by 5th March 2012.
We are hoping to hold Craft Classes in the Community Centre and if anyone is interested in attending these would they please contact Carmel on 087 2679829 or Tina on 086 0816384 stating whether they would prefer either Daytime or Evening classes.
Footsteps Childcare are looking for paper; card; yoghurt tubs, the inner parts of kitchen & toilet rolls; material; wool etc. Please leave at Footsteps Building Kilkelly or give to Anne Glavey High St. Kilkelly.

Children’s Set Dancing classes each Friday, from 5.30-6.30pm in Kilkelly Community Centre.
Kilkelly Library opens each Thursday from 12am – 6pm. You will find all latest books, in all categories; audio books and DVDs; there is an excellent Children’s section and also Internet access.
St. Celsus’ Church Kilkelly, celebrates its Golden Jubilee this year. At the recent meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council, it was decided that this milestone should be marked by a special celebration which will take place on August Bank Holiday Monday. Any old photographs, particular memories of the Church being built and opened would be much appreciated as well as suggestions of ideas for the celebration. Please give any information to Fr. John Maloney (Kilkelly) or Fr. Vincent Sherlock (Kilmovee).
Kilkelly Active Age Group meets each Thursday at 11am. New members are always very welcome to join; just drop in to Kilkelly Community Centre any Thursday.
Kilkelly Branch of the Credit Union is situated in Main St., just past the Post Office, and is open every Friday from 10.30-4pm

We are always told to “give up” something for Lent but maybe you would like to “take something on”!! Each Tuesday morning during Lent (beginning Tues 28th Feb), there will be an early morning Mass in St. Celsus Church Kilkelly at 7am. Also on Thursday evenings (beginning this Thursday 23rd Feb.), there will be a Lenten Reflection Group at 8pm in the Sacristy lasting about 30 mins. There will be a reflection and sharing of thoughts on the Gospel for the next Sunday followed by Evening prayer. Please think about coming along you will be very welcome.
Masses & Distribution of Ashes for Ash Wednesday
9am Mass in St. Celsus Kilkelly with distribution of ashes. Ashes will also be distributed at 6.30pm in the Church.
8pm Mass for in St. Patrick’s Church Glann with distribution of ashes.
Anyone with housebound members of the family or neighbours can ask for ashes to take home and distribute.
