The work is now ready to go to the printer so now its time to get your book order in and avoid disappointment, the book gets an early "sold out" sign.
History book team member, Mary Mahon says "We have been overwhelmed with the response with both articles and photographs for our forthcoming History Book "Parke/Turlough Yesterday & To-day. It was intended to publish this as a paperback. However we have received a number of enquiries for Hard Copy and we will print a limited number. If you are interested in obtaining a hard copy which will cost €30 please text 087-7432924 with your name before 15th July as only pre-ordered hard copies will be printed.
The paperback version will cost €20. Only text if you are interested in Hard Copy".
Editor Michael Maguire adds on the Parke & Turlough Book: "All materials have now been submitted to the printers for our forthcoming publication. We expect to have a 1st draft of our book for review issued to us during July. The editing process has proved challenging – with photographs and articles, we have been well over subscribed. Our intention is to submit at least 1 photograph per family, 1 per generation and 1 per written article. This will hopefully mean that every family will have a photograph in the book. Depending on space constraints, it may be that we will not be able to submit all the articles but we will do what ever we can".
