Membership Competition - www.mayo.ie - TERMS & CONDITIONS

Mayo.ie competitions are not open to the Project Team involved on the MAYO.IE project ,their immediate family members For these purposes an "immediate family member" includes a spouse, partner, child, step child, grandchild, brother, step brother, sister, step sister, parent, step parent or legal guardian.

The competition is only open to individuals who have become members of the www.mayo.ie website.

Closing date for receipt of entries is 17th January 2012

Unless otherwise stated, competition entrants must be over 18 years old in order to qualify as the prize winner.

Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie reserves the right to request written proof of age of any competition winner.

The winning entry or entries will be chosen at random from valid entries received. Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie’s decision in relation to selection of prize winner(s) is final and no correspondence will be entered into. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of a competition the decision of Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie will be final.

Prizes are non-transferable and will only be awarded to the winner. Unless otherwise stated, where multiple prizes are on offer in a single competition only 1 win per household will be permitted.

No cash alternative will be awarded in lieu of stated prize(s).

Prizes are defined as follows:

• FLIGHTS FOR TWO WITH AER LINGUS FROM NEW YORK TO SHANNON WITH ACCOMMODATION IN THE MULRANNY PARK HOTEL Your prize will include economy class flights from New York (JFK) to Shannon flying with Aer Lingus on April 23rd for 7 days, returning April 30th 2012. Winners of these flights are responsible for connecting flights (and) or any transport required to JFK airport. This prize also includes Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the beautiful Mulranny Park Hotel for 7 nights (on these dates only). Aer Lingus Flights Terms & Conditions: The tickets are non-transferable and have no cash redemption value; both tickets must be used together. They are valid only for economy class roundtrip travel on Aer Lingus from New York (JFK) to Shannon, Ireland: departing on April 23rd and returning on April 30th, 2012. .

• FLIGHTS FOR TWO WITH FLYBE ON THEIR IRELAND WEST AIRPORT KNOCK EDINBURGH ROUTE. This prize can be used from Edinburgh flying into Ireland West Airport Knock or alternatively From Ireland West Airport Knock to Edinburgh. The flights are subject to the terms and conditions of FLYBE and Ireland West Airport Knock

• A VOUCHER FOR ELVERYS SPORTS TO THE VALUE OF €200 EURO This prize can be used in store or online at www.elverys.ie

• PORTWEST JACKETS The winner of this prize will receive a Portwest jacket, sponsored by the Westport based company.

• FOXFORD RUG The winner of this prize will receive a rug from Foxford Woollen Mills,

• T-REX CUSTOMISED T-SHIRT The winner of this great prize can choose from a customized Mayo T-Shirt or customize their own t-shirt from the large choice available on the www.t-rex.ie website.

If, due to circumstances beyond its control, a prize becomes unavailable Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.

Use of a false name or address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize. Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie will endeavour to deliver all prizes within 28 days of winning. Where this is not possible the winner(s) will be notified of a delay.

Unless otherwise stated, all taxes, insurance, fees and surcharges on any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Where a prize is to be provided by a third party, Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie accept no responsibility whatsoever for the supply or non-supply or purported supply or delay in supply of the prize, including without limitation, the failure of the winner to receive ownership of or use the prize.

Where appropriate, prize winners are required to complete all applicable booking and/or other formalities directly with the specified third party provider(s).

Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie reserves the right to change prize details without notice and all prizes are subject to availability.

Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use the relevant winner's name, hometown and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion or publicity in any media without additional compensation and prize winners agree to take part in such related promotional activities as Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie may require.

All competition entries must be received by Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie in the required format before the advertised closing date. Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any materials relating to Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie promotions; fraudulent, lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or altered entries; or entries which are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or other technical malfunction. Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend a competition and/or vary competition rules at any time without prior notice.

Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any death, injury or other damage, loss, expense or liability arising as a result of taking a prize. Nor will Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie have any liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in any Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie competition or any of the prizes rewarded. Prizes not claimed within specified time limit will be deemed to have been forfeited and Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie may dispose of such prizes without any liability to the winner. Any person found to be in disregard of these rules will be disqualified automatically.

Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion. Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem in any network, system, server, provider, or otherwise which may result in entries being lost or not properly registered or recorded and contestants hereby waive any claim whatsoever for any losses, costs, damages and expenses arising from any such problems. Participation in Mayo County Council/Mayo.ie competitions denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions which may be advertised.

The Terms and Conditions apply between you and the owner of the mayo.ie network i.e. Mayo County Council (the "Network Owner"). Site users agree to be bound by the Terms of Service of the Mayo.ie website.
